Virgo Full Moon
Virgo is often perceived and talked about as the perfectionist, the hardworking and organized boss babe that’s down to earth and practical in her approach. The one who gets lost in the details as if that’s a bad thing. She is said to be pure, representative of the archetype of the maiden.
When this full moon rolls around I usually hear things like ground, and organize your Pisces dreams, create lists and structures, fine tune the details, you know typical “boss babe” stuff.
But let’s pause and take a step back from the Colonial Patriarchal lense.
Lets tap into the goddess.
After all that is Virgo.
Let’s think about the imagery often associated with this sign. Flowing fabric, delicate flowers, and plants. beautiful architecture, and softness. The imagery doesn’t bring to mind the above masculine, saturnian words used above that commonly describe Virgo.
So who is Virgo and why is she so often misunderstood?
To me, Virgo is the is the priestess. The priestess spends her life training in the art of ritual, ceremony and healing, communing and communicating with the divine, the plants, and elements. I believe she is so misunderstood because this sacred role in society has been forgotten.
Virgo is ruled by mercury. Mecury rules communication. But not just from person to person but between the spiritual and the physical.
Virgo is the bridge, the one who brings earthside inspiration from the ethers. Virgo is the one who works with patterns, cycles, the rhythms of the Earth for she deeply listens to them. She is the one who is living in full devotion to her cause. She is the one who is pure, but not because she is a “virgin or maiden” but instead a clear channel.
So how can this energy help us now?
Virgo is the cosmic counterpart to Pisces. Opposite on the zodiac but not an opposing force. These energies are here to work in harmony with each other.
Pisces is the one swimming in the ethers, the intuitive who receives divine downloads, the one so in touch with the emotional and spiritual realms.
We are in Pisces Season and therefore enveloped in this energy. We can be the one to receive guidance for what wants to be birthed through us in this new Astrological Cycle beginning March 20th. Right now is the time to a dream impossible dreams.
Virgo, as Pisces cosmic counterpart is here to help us.
The Virgo Full Moon is be here to show us how we can live in devotion to our Pisces season dreams.
She is here to show us how we can work with the patterns, cycles and rhythms of the Earth to bring these dreams into reality.
She is inviting us to drop into ritual and ceremony and connect to spiritual realms.
She may be illuminating the ways in which we are giving away our dreams to another’s agenda, buying into propaganda and listening to others “truths” instead of tapping into our own intuition.
She may be illuminating the ways we are ignoring our dreams and allowing them to stay in the ethers instead of courting them, and getting ready to ground them down into reality with the Aries New Moon. Aries is ruled by mars the initiator and action taker.
She may also be illuminating the ways we are being called to be of sacred service to humanity and the collective.
